Privacy Policy — ChalkVB

1. What We Collect

When you use ChalkVB, we collect:

Account information — your email address and display name when you sign up.
Match and coaching data — stats, practice plans, rosters, schedules, and other content you enter.
Uploaded images — screenshots you upload for stat parsing are sent to our AI provider and are not stored.
Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Usage data — basic logs such as pages visited and actions taken, used to improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect to:

Provide and improve the ChalkVB service.
Generate AI-powered diagnoses and practice plans from your match stats.
Process payments and manage your subscription.
Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset).
Respond to support requests.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your coaching data to train AI models.

3. AI Processing

When you use AI features (stat parsing, diagnosis, practice plan generation), your data is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. This data is used only to generate your requested output and is subject to Anthropic's privacy policy. Uploaded images for stat extraction are not stored after processing.

4. Third-Party Services

ChalkVB uses the following third-party services:

Supabase — database and authentication hosting.
Stripe — payment processing.
Anthropic — AI features.
Vercel — application hosting.

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

5. Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at support@chalkvb.com. If you are located in the EU or UK, you may have additional rights under GDPR.

7. Cookies

ChalkVB uses cookies solely for authentication (keeping you logged in). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

ChalkVB is intended for use by coaches and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or a notice in the app. The effective date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last updated.
